Since our founding in 1997, Bank of Bolivar has been proud to be identified as "Your Community Bank."

But what does it mean to be a community bank?

For starters, community banking involves the ability of a bank to identify with all of the locales it serves. Is the home office close enough that the unique needs of the community are appreciated? Does the banking organization's size and structure still allow for important banking decisions to involve people directly connected to the community? Are the community's values and citizens represented in the bank's operations?

To be sure, these are important benefits of community banking. Yet in the final analysis, "community" is less about where things are located than it is in about how well things are connected.

To that end, Bank of Bolivar takes a very active role in supporting the people and causes of the communities we serve. Each of our community banking centers is staffed by neighbors helping neighbors.
