2013 BKD Award for Excellence and Innovation

In recognition of BOB's Gift Club - Bank of Bolivar's annual new accounts promotion that gives both the new accountholder a free gift, along with a charity of the customer's choice a free $20 gift from BOB - Bank of Bolivar is proud to have been named the winner of the MIBA's 2013 BKD Award for Excellence and Innovation.

Presented annually since 2007 by the Missouri Independent Bankers Association, the BKD Award for Excellence and Innovation showcases the best ideas among Missouri's community financial institutions. This is Bank of Bolivar's second time to win in the award's first seven years of existence.

Winners demonstrate key factors for success in today's banking environment: exemplary performance, community leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit. Additionally, previous winners have been honored for an innovative product with creative marketing support, successful philanthropic efforts, and targeted community improvement projects.

In 2013, this award comes along with a $1,000 prize to be donated to the winning institution's charity of choice. Bank of Bolivar has elected to donate half of this prize to Care to Learn, and half to the Bolivar City Police Department's Shop With a Cop program.

2012 "First Touch" and "Top Volume" Awards in Mortgage Loans from TIB

TIB, Bank of Bolivar's primary source for secondary market funding - announced that Bank of Bolivar finished 2012 as the correspondent's #1 bank in "First Touch" loans and #2 in "Top Volume."

The "First Touch" award recognizes quality of documentation sent from the bank, such that TIB does not have to make any adjustments or revisions to it. The award is only given to the top three banks providing such quality documentation.

BOB earned the "Top Volume" recognition for making 178 mortgage loans through TIB - representing more than $25 million in fundings and placing it second in that category out of nearly 450 community banks that utilize TIB's mortgage program. Overall in 2012, Bank of Bolivar had a total of 256 secondary market loans worth more than $34 million altogether.

2011 Large Business of the Year

For excellence in business and positive contributions to the Bolivar area, the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce selected Bank of Bolivar as the winner of its Large Business of the Year award for 2011.

Presented yearly at the Chamber's annual banquet in January, the Large Business of the Year award is given to one Bolivar area business of 20 or more employees judged to be tops in its overall combination of growth, innovation, stability, and community service. A similar Small Business of the Year award is given to a business with fewer than 20 employees.

This is Bank of Bolivar's second win of this award. Previous winners are not eligible for consideration again for five years.

2010 Friend of Education

The SW region of the Missouri State Teacher's Association selected Bank of Bolivar to receive a Friend of Education award for 2010.

Nominated by administrators from the Bolivar R-1 school district, Bank of Bolivar was recognized for its loyal support of the school's programs, students, and staff. Of particular note were the bank's donations of over $1,000 per month at that time to the school through its Liberator Pride Debit Card program and its annual sponsorship of the Bank of Bolivar Master Teacher Award, given at graduation to the teacher deemed most worthy of being called a "master teacher."

2008 BKD Award for Excellence and Innovation

In recognition of Bank of Bolivar's School Pride Debit Card Program - which donates a nickel to a local school district each time a purchase is made with a special school-branded debit card - Bank of Bolivar is proud to have been named the winner of the MIBA's 2008 BKD Award for Excellence and Innovation.

2004 Large Business of the Year

For impressive growth and excellence in just its eighth year in business, the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce selected Bank of Bolivar as the winner of its Large Business of the Year award for 2004.

Presented yearly at the Chamber's annual banquet in January, the Large Business of the Year award is given to one Bolivar area business of 20 or more employees judged to be tops in its overall combination of growth, innovation, stability, and community service. A similar Small Business of the Year award is given to a business with fewer than 20 employees.
